A Message about the Sheridan Public Schools

The Sheridan schools have so much to offer in providing high quality education to every student. All schools are small enough to meet individual student needs and differences and to know each student well. Yet they are large enough to provide extensive programs and services. Sheridan staff have chosen this district as a pleasant, productive place in which to work.

All of the district’s teachers and administrators are professionally trained to provide high quality teaching and productive learning opportunities. All schools have high but realistic expectations for student achievement and self direction. The support staff, too, cares about every student and provides  assistance of many kinds.

All schools have been up-graded and modernized with funds from two recent bond elections supported by a supportive, proud , and caring community. All schools are air- conditioned, up-to-date with technology to enhance student learning in a rapidly changing world, and are designed to comfortably and safely meet our students’ needs.

Parents play significant roles in Sheridan through school and district accountability committees, parent-teacher conferences, maintaining close contact with teachers and principals, and through helping their students at home.
